The college I attend is closed by its President because
he is too much of a coward to manage the current students' strike the safety of the students and the staff is compromised by the strike. It's been two weeks since he did that and there seems to be no change coming. Pathetic.
So, what do I do with my spare time? I watch american TV shows ^^
I watched:
- the first two seasons of Scrubs, which I absolutely adore! Dr Cox is my hero and the Janitor wins my eternal devotion.
- the first season of Dexter.
I loved it! I was afraid it would be too morbid for my taste, and actually it
is morbid, and violent and totally amoral. But it is also funny and the characters are great. I got attached to Dexter rather quickly. The fact that he is a redhead (yay!) and that he has got the most amazing eyes didn't hurt.
The second season started well. It was still interesting and the acting was pretty good. That is, until ep 205. I
hated it. I despised Dexter in it, I found him ridiculous. The actor himself seemed to struggle just to play the unbelievables scenes. The characterization was off, the writters abused of the backstory and the storyline turned awry. Only Doakes (my pretty) turned out ok. Barely.
I wondered if the plot suffered from the american writters' strike ^^;
I like that show very much and now I'm scared of watching the next episodes. I'm afraid of beeing let down ;_;
- the eight Grey's Anatomy episodes.
I liked: Cristina (she is awesome. Like, all the time), Hi-I'm-your-long-lost-sister!Lexie and Bailey, the very good lines and... McSteamy because he is pure eyecandy.
I didn't like: Derek, Izzie/George (they have no chemistry on screen! It's cringe worthy. George/Callie was hot. George/Izzy is... bleuarg!), Derek, some of Meredith reactions to her sister, and did I already say that I can't stand Derek?
Overall, I liked it. It's still funny and witty, I cried once (because I am a big sensitive dork) and it was never boring. Some people said the acting was bad, but I personnaly didn't notice anything too off.
My first post in english only, not a word in french. I'm so proud ^^
